Beneficiaries 

Students with delays in fine motor skills often have anxiety when it comes to tasks such as printing. Being able to independently improve your fine motor skills while at the same time complete an assignment would be beneficial to both their self esteem as well as refine their skills.

Studies have shown that the kinestetic action in handwriting increases memory as opposed to typing (Smoker, 2009).

The most common reason School based therapists were referred to students was handwriting problems (Chandler, 1994).

Handwriting is the primary way elementary students express their knowledge.

Improvements in tool use and  fine motor skills can increase a child's self efficacy.

"Emergent literacy theory proposes that listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities develop concurrently and interrelatedly rather than sequentially. For example, writing experiences improve a child’s reading skills and vice versa (Teale & Sulzby, 1989)."
