Freedom of Information and Privacy

Currently HP reveal hosts all of it's content on it's own servers in the United States. Most school districts do not allow student information to be stored on certain servers. Teachers can currently create their own account and create student alias accounts. However, this can be a problem if you would like students' to upload their own content.

For example, in BC, Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPPA) states that a teacher or district may seek permission from parents and notify them if student information will be stored outside Canada. In Coquitlam, Office 365 is widely used by teachers and there is already a formal letter created to send home to parents.

Educator Accounts

HP Reveal does not currently offer Educator accounts or collaboration with districts. HP has two types of accounts, consumer and company accounts. Company accounts are not available for educators nor are they free like the consumer account. If HP reveal were to create an Educator account, teachers would be able to set up and monitor students accounts.
