History

Augmented Reality was coined in the early 1990's by Caudell and Mizell. The first wearable device was created by Steve Mann in 1980 called the Eyetap.

Benefits

Augmented reality technology, improves the interpretation of spatial, temporal, and contextual content (Tettegah, Taylor, Whang, Meinstninkas, and Chamot 2006) and enhances student learning. (Freitas and Campos, 2008)
